 How did you get into uni? Inspired by Dodo, this set me thinking. How many student midwives and SM2B's get into midwifery via access courses and other routes? Please vote and post a bit to tell us all Edited to add, do you think it has been beneficial?? either of these routes? Maybe not? and why ?

Access (2year part time) It was a really good way of getting used to essay writing, research etc and getting into good habits with prioritising workloads around family life! It was a brilliant way of introducing myself back into education after being out of it for 16 years!

| Re: How did you get into uni? I had done my intermediate and advanced Health and social care GNVQ and then went into working as a health care assistant within a hospital for 4 years. I got into midwifery on my third attempt.

| Re: How did you get into uni? I already had the entry requirements and another degree but had to do access as I had not studied in 14 years. The Uni's I applied to wanted evidence of recent study.

| Re: How did you get into uni? Yes I did Access as recent study as the uni said they wanted 3 C's at A Level.. Not sure if 4 D's work out at that.. But also, it was 2003-2004 when I did them... but as part of my offer, I have to complete Access so I'm figuring the A levels alone werent good enough
