I'm confused ??

I just emailed the uni that turned me down to ask about the clearing process, and they emailed me back to say they dont need to go through clearing !! Is this normal process ?? or does thos happen all the time in midwifery ??? I knew i would have to re apply in sept but now theres no chance of getting in before . XX

mmm, am a bit confused by your post!
Reading between the lines a bit, I think it means that all the uni places are filled and they don't need to go through clearing, maybe because they have their own reserve list??

ollybolly, I interpreted i the same as you!
I think it means they dont need to use clearing coz they've filled there course spaces. also, if youve been rejected from a uni, you cannot get onto the same course at the same uni through clearing.

On ucas it said clearing olly.

I have a strange sense of deja vu!!
I'm sure someone has posted before that you can't get in through clearing to the same uni from at which you didn't get a place, but your experience obviously proves this wrong!!

hpe this gives some hope to other people in the same position as you were last year?

It is possible that I am wrong, I can only go off what it said on ucas at the time, and it definately said clearing so.....

see now i'm confused ( sorry about the spelling) i only applied to one uni , every one keeps saying not to worry i can still try clearing. I understood this to mean when they have the a level results anyone who didnt meet the grade will lose their place ??? This then frees up places for people like me who want the free spaces ??? But my uni said they dont do clearing ?? Does this mean they are that confident in their prospective students that they know the a level results already ?? Sorry for the confusion. XX
