Default Do i try for a uni that i dont really want ???

See now the title says it all really, but my friend is trying to convince me to try for it next time instead of just limiting my options ??? Does anyone have any opinions or should i not bother as i could take a deserving place away ???

I would say that 3 years is a long time to spend somewhere you don't really want to be, If you don't want to go to that uni, then why apply?

Angie, you are kind of answering your own question, your friend is not the one doing this hard course (or wanting to, not being mean to your friend, you know what I mean)

it is entirely up to you and depends how much you really don't want to go to the uni?

not much help am I ?

I'd do what Mum always taught me to do, write a list of the pro's and con's of going to a uni you don't like and make a decision on that!

Good luck, if you don't think it's right, it probably isn't!

I would go for the one you really want. I only applied for one, because any others would have just been unworkable. I see from your post that you have a 2yo, so it's going to be full on as it is, let alone if you are somewhere you don't want to be! I would concentrate on your choice, find out all you can about it, go to open days and make yourself known and knock em dead at interview! Good luck Hun xx

I think i knew the answer as soon as i read my post back to myself. I was just trying to be flexible as another not so good friend commented that if i wanted to be a midwife i would go anywhere !! I am so tempted to apply but i know that its not right for me i cant drive and would have to travel. But only having one option for uni is not very good for prospects is it ?? I would also be interested if there is anyone who failed to get in a second time ??? (i might do another thread !)
