Anybody who has had their interviews could you tell me if the panel asked you about current affairs/news in midwifery?

Also if they did what did you mention?

Where is the best place to read articles and arm myself!! lol

If you have downloaded the toolbar here you can search for related midwifery sites with it, so check out Midirs, RCM, ARM etc.

I wasn't interviewed by a panel, only a midwifery lecturer and a practising midwife. They did ask about current midwifery news and I broughtup and discussed the subject of the ever increasing C/S rate and it's erosion of the midwive's role (when I look back now, I cringe as i knew such a tiny amount back then, but did get my figures right at least!)

It is still relevant now, as the section rate has reached 25% in some areas

Hi i was asked about current issues in midwifery. When i had my interview the current issue was about drinking in pregnancy and the recommend guidelines etc. Its worth looking on the Royal College of Midwifes website
