| Ive not known them to ask that, but I guess if they did youd need to say stuff about you as a person not your circumstances as they arent allowed to ask about that. So organised, quick thinking, quick to learn that kinda stuff...

| I was asked this at one of my interviews, and I did 'tell them about me' lol, I also told them what I had done previously work wise, courses I had done, about caring for my parents, and I think that is about it. Hope that helps a bit, and good luck. x

| I didn't really get asked this.... Only how I would cope with the demands of the course and that sort of thing

| Thats good to know it's not one of the general Q's. I guess I expected it would be because you are asked it at most job interviews so I gathered it would be similar. Always good to have an answer prepared anyway I don't actually have an interview - YET (PMA) but figured it's best to prepare now.

| I wasn't asked this in my individual interview, but when we had aour group interview we were asked to indroduced ourselves and say abit, so it was a similar sort of thing but not in as much detail. I said my name, age, that I had 3 kids, what I was doing at the moment (studing with OU at the time) and abit about why I wanted to do the course (but kept it very breif as knew we would be going into more detail in individual interview) x |

| I don't think that the actual content of your answer would be terribly important, but it's how you say it. I think the interviewers will want you to give a concise and confident response, so just prepare a brief summary that you can reel out without stumbling over your words and appearing too shy and nervous.

| At my midwifery interview, my last question which i think its the only one that stuck with me as i was so nervous was "whats the difference between a midwife and a dustbin man?" to be honest, i thought it was a joke and thought i had misheard it so it was "I beg your pardon?" to give me a chance to think and trainning and professionalism lit hit it for me. About yourself i think its all about being organised, communicate well with others, being initiative, willing to learn and adjusting to new situations easily. To be honest i have no clue what the right answer should be, hope it helps.
