Hi all

I went to the open day at the University of Northampton today, where I hope to study from September 2009.

It was really interesting and I got to meet 2 of the academics but they scared the pants off me when they said that there was 35 places (I knew that bit) and 350 applicants this year!!!!!!!!!!

I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo want this but wonder what the hell I have to do to be one of THE 35???

I would say be yourself, keep eye contact with the interviewers, take a breath and think about the questions before diving in with an answer, smile, and above all let your passion shine through.

I am sure you will be fine when the time comes hun. x

You're right coffeebean, I did find it a bit daunting when they gave the figures but I guess it's a way of sorting the wheat from the chaff and finding out who's serious!

I am also applying to uni for 2009 entry and my top 2 choices are bangor and chester followed by LJMU as a backup. I went to the open day at chester and they said they have about 1500 applicants for 30 places and LJMU was about the same - just gotta work hard and do everything we can to prove we are the right choice. If I dont get in for 2009 entry I will be devastated but I wont give up - I will be a Midwife!!!!
