Sounds like you have made the right choice but there is always distance access if you really wanted to get started and you can start at any time of the year - well woth remembering.

Awww no sorry to hear that but as you say - you have to put your family first, you can apply for next year and hopefully by then you'll have had lots more MCA experience too

Well I have to agree with the others and say you are doing the right thing, family comes first. I have been lucky to have been offered a secondment with the local health board and if the position was to become permanant I would have to think long and hard about changing to midwifery. So good luck with your future ventures and hope all goes to plan.
