| Hiya I have recieved an email from nottingham university. It states that they need either 24 credits in Biological Sciences on the Access course, or a science subject at minimum AS level grade C or above. Donna X xx X

| Hi, No, psychology and sociology aren't classed as science unfortunatley, just wondered if you'd gain anymore credits in another area to make it up. Have been on the Notts website since then though and they are quite specific in stating how many credits are needed in certain subjects. I've just seen your other thread about going to another college and dont know where your doing your full time Access but I was told by a tutor at Castle College that if you did extra Biology in the evenings it would really up your chances and look good when you apply. Could you manage it all or is there another college nearby that you could gain all the credits you needed? Gx |

| Hiya I am actually awaiting an email from the second college as I was told that they do AS level biology in an evening twice a week between 6pm-8pm. I am just wondering as to whether or not it would be a struggle doing both, I did look on the Open University site but wasn't able to find much. Donna x XX x

| Hi, Im actually studying with the OU at the mo, as my Access is nearly 3yrs old now so I wanted evidence of recent study. I know they do offer a Human Biology course as I tried to get on it but it was full. Also, I think its a level 2 course and they advise you to do a level 1 course first. Im not sure how Notts work with the OU, it may be a certain amount of points you need. I think if you can definately get an Access course that will give you all the credits in one, go with that. Otherwise you may get bogged down with all the studying. Gx |
