Hi just had a browse on UCAS 2009 too. Does anyone have a problem with a reference?! I am not at school/uni so can not get one from teacher/lecturer etc and the lady from my last job (working at a solicitors) will not be able to write about my suitablity for midwifery.

Plus, how do you get them to cut and paste on your online application???

Hiya appletree, last year the ucas references were done by filling in the persons name , position etc then that triggered them (ucas) into contacting the referee (i think?)

I know with my uni you need two references and i was told to put the second referee as the very bottom line on the personal statement.

Also one of my references was from an employment point of view not midwifery and i got interviewed ??

Not sure if that helps ??

Oh gosh two references, gulp! Dunno where I will get the second from! I might ask my BF counsellor lady, although might be a bit cheeky as she has only known me a couple months, still I guess by September she will have know me a little longer!
It seems really strange that your reference goes on your actual application, I know it says you can't, but who is to stop you editting it yourself!!!!????

hey there, I was so excited about 2009 entryopening on UCAS - all filled in! just working on a cracker of a PS - lots to put in, am hoping to blow their socks off!!!
I was going to only apply for the UEA, but may apploy for a few and just move! it has to be worth it, I want to do it so bad I'd go almost anywhere! but uea would be bets as my daughter is used to this area (but we have no family etc so doesnt really matter where we go).
ooooohhhh, so excited!!!!
