I too am rubbish at maths but im doing access course in september so you'll be fine. Just remember the tutors at the college are there to help not to judge so even if you do struggle with maths they will be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck hun.

Thanks all for the good luck wishes, my colleague said that on her open evening they only did an information session and informal interview and she had to go back for tests at a later date - will have a quick revise tomorrow whilst L is at nursery just in case!!!

Thats great news!!!
I too got a date for an access interview last week, but I have to wait til the 14th July!! It lasts 3 hours, and includes some written tests, giving a short talk, group interview and a personal interview - I thought it would be a 10 minute chat!  Good luck and let us know how you get on, Jo

*UPDATE* well I had my interview last night - basically the guy who interviewed me said I was more than capable of doing the course and he said he wished all the access students were like me (ie know my goals, planned well and thought things through!!!), I have put a full update on my blog but basically they said I should arrange my childcare and I'll be joining them in Sept...just a couple of sticking points eg paying for the course but hey ho I'm sure I'll get there!!
