Default Applying for jobs

Hello to all, I just wondered how many of you are in the same position as me, and applying for jobs at the moment.

It took me 4 hours to write my personal statement for St Marys the other week-to no avail unfortunately as they have 37 billion applicants (maybe more lol) and I think half or more were already qualified.

So when do you all qualify?
And where are you applying to?

I've also applied to Wythenshawe, so good luck to all of us, share your experiences here xxx

Many thanks to all-as for jobs, no there are none in my area, or at the trust I've trained at. at the moment all the jobs seem to be down south or in Manchester, and I think all the students that have trained there will get them (which is fair enough I suppose!), unfortunately it doesn't help me or my mortgage situation out!!
I have applied anyway, and have sent a personal statement to my trust showing an interest should a job come up.
There are jobs in Liverpool too, but the commute is just too far for me, however I feel I would gain invaluable experience there!!
The competition is fierce, but at least more and more jobs seem to be cropping up on an almost daily basis.
We didn't get any help with our personal statement, CV portfolio etc...
I just have to try and write the best one I can, in fact tonight is going to be spent applying for another job and attempting to do my CV!!!
Thanks for the encouragement though!!

I'd love to! English is not my first language and it takes always ages before I manage to formulate things...hopefully properly, and then after,.. I need somebody to proof read.so its a nightmare. i went to the career advisers at uni, and they are helpful but not specialised in midwifery, although they try to make it relevant it is not the same.
I just wanted to ask aswell, it seems that i don't always get the nhs job alerts on time so i ve got only 1 day to reply before closing date ,or sometimes no advert at all ??? thanks 4 any help

Hello there Marie (you know who I am!!!:-), maybe its that you need to reset it or change the location go back onto site and log in, then do your settings, or email alerts bit then see what you have requested, reset it by putting midwives or midwife to your search and don't specify an area, try that, it should work but there are a few you could get to from where you live xx
