Hi,

I need to write an essay on how two drugs affect the function of neurotransmitters, but I am absolutely stuck.

I was going to start with a little info. on the brain, then neurons, etc. synapses then neurotransmitters and then go onto the drugs bit.

Has anyone had any experience writing about this? I just cannot seem to get started.

Your plan sounds good to me Jo.

Id say what a neurotransmitter is

link into system i.e. brain, neurons etc

then outline the 2 drugs

then state how they affect the function of the neurostransmitters

Well the national/royal college of anaesthetists have just designed a new leaflet on anaethesia, opiates etc... for labour, so perhaps going onto rcm, rcog (I don't know the anaesthetist website) to see if it helps xx
