I can only do them one at a time. I need loads of space as well because I prefere to cut and paste the old fasioned way before I start typing.

I sometimes highlight main points in the body and use them to make an intro. Then I just check my conclusion has the same points in as my intro.

i'm the odd one out here!!

I have to make a start an assignment as soon as i get it. once it's started i don't feel too bad. if i don't i tend to leave it. i then finish the easiest first and work back to the hardest so i've only got that to concentrate on. and if it's a particularly bad assignment i need a bottle of wine, by the end of the bottle the assignment doesn't seem as bad!! ha ha

Ha ha! Know what you mean lilli! A glass of wine or 3 definitely makes an assignment seem easier!!

I always try to start an assignment as soon as I get it, with 2 young children I think it's best to get work done when I can coz I know if I leave it til the night before it's due in, one or other of them will be poorly/teething/refuse to go to bed...

Ditto to that Kitkat! I was lucky this time I left one till last minute but generally I try to get them done as early as possible, although getting harder now we are near the end of the course and have sooooo many to do in so little time.

I think there's no right way to approach an essay but it does get better with experience, I notice I have a huge advantage over my cohort on access because I did a degree previously and I am well used to writing essays. You just develop your own style of approach.

I read as much as I can first and develop an idea in my head of what I'm going to write, or at least the order I'm going to write it in and then I write the essay, with the books at hand but at the time of writing I generally know exactly what bit I want from each book. Sometimes I write the intro first but usually something pops into my head midway through. Conclusion I do at the end.

I tend to dart around a bit as ideas pop into my head!

I might sit down to write and assignment and write it all back to front if that how the ideas appear! I then have mega proof reading and cut and pasting sessions which is when I do my hubby's head in cos he then also gets to read them. I don't like to leave things to the last minute as I know something will stop me from doing them if I do this.

I tend to force myself to do the ones I least like the look of first and leave the more interesting ones til later cos then I have something to look forward to and it also means that I can get really stuck into the ones I like without worrying that I am spending too much time doing that subject and neglecting the others... my reward for getting the boring ones out of the way i suppose!
