try the Good Study Guide - its an open university book and you can get it from amazon for about £5 or something, v cheap! its really good, whether you study with OU or not. It helps me anyway!

hi girls i ended up buying the andrew northedge goody study guide it was £11.39 and i bought essay and dissertation that was £5.99 i think both on amazon so cant wait to do my eassy now thanks for you all replying xxxxx

I remember being given a list of hints for writing essays when I was at school. - Read the question / jot down notes / organise thoughts etc. The bit I liked best was were it said: "Walk away from your writing and make a cup of tea!"

we have got to get different information on how to write an essay so ive bought the two because one author might say do it this way because and and another author may disagree and do it another so we need books and stuff to back it up i dont think we can just do it by thoughts. we did all the note taking yesterday on how to do a reference sheet and how to do it properly i cant wait until i do it really looking forward to it x

... when you've been working on the essay for a while, you walk away from it and make a cup of tea. Then when you return to look at your essay again, you feel refreshed and ready to work on it some more!
