Help Asap Please

hi girls got this essay to do, i know you never give your own opinion but when writing it can you use the word YOU or not ? xxx

I have been told on my access course never to use you, i, we, your etc.... I got told to use phrases like 'the health professional' 'a person' etc so it's all third person. I'm not sure whether it would apply to your corse though cos they are really picky about this kind of stuff where I am - can you email your course tutor to check?

thnks potbella she did say i was going to email her but as its half term she wont be there and im typimng it up now so ive tried to pick out the you's and change them you said about i we you has just brought it back i thought i had wrote it down somewhere but cant find it thanks hun xxx

It depends what it is and how you have ben instructed to write it, a refelctive piece eg is written in the first and third person as it relates to personal experience and feelings. Generally most others are third person only as are academic.

What is yorr essay and the guidelines? have you asked your lecturer?

I'm actually supposed to be doing an essay that's sue in on Tuesday and I haven't started yet! LOL.... I've had it for about 4wks and keep putting it off!

Hi its how to write an effective essay and sahe said not to write we and i but couldnt remember if its included you etc? x

Hiya Spunky, It does get easier in fact when I was writing a reflective piece I found it really hard to use 'I'. Good luck!
