Manda that is an awful lot of money... I'm pretty sure anyone who knows a bit about computers could have retrieved that file without paying about £30 to do so!

Oh Manda, I'm glad you've got it sorted!
A good tip someone gave me was to save your file and then always email yourself a copy to a web based email address. This way you always have a previous copy that can be accessed from where ever you are, even if you computer decides to blow up, you've lost your memory stick, forget to take assignment to college etc. I have to say doing this has saved me on several occasions. May not have helped you with the work you had been doing all night, but you might have had a bit more left!
Technology, can't live with it, can't tive without it! xx

Oh Manda! So glad you managed to get your file back! A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago when I decided to get a new laptop that had a different version of word on so I knwo how you feel - I had to retype all of my assignment!

I have now got only 1 essay (to be handed in next week), 1 exam (next week) and 1 presentation to do (week after) and then all portfolio is to be handed in on 25th! I can't believe that it has gone so fast and that I have managed to stick with it! It will fly by then til sept when I finally get to start at Uni ... Soooooo excited!!!!

I'm not at the end of the access, but at the end of my training, and if you think the access has flown by then wait till you start uni, I've been there 4 years (ours is a 4 yr course lol) and its gone so quickly, I've made the most amazing friends, had ups downs etc.. But am now at the end eagerley awaiting my final results and obviously desperate for a job!!
It will fly by, you'll love it, well done for completing the access, it prepares you really weel, especially if you've done it in a year as I did, I thought it was quite intense and was the same as the expectations at uni x

Hiya hun,

My main one is to def' have some kind of time management as it is soooooo easy to run behind on coursework!!
I started my access when Katy (my daughter) was just 7wks old, & if anything it was the fact she was so young that made it hard for me!!

There will be times when you sit and think "What the hell have i done" and feel like quitting- (i know i felt that way!!) and i have even cried at thinkin i couldn't find time to do all the work- BUT... somehow you just do it, and time goes REALLY fast!!!

Good luck you will learn so much & meet some fab people along the way!!

Take care, Luv Roxi xXx

ps- keep in touch won't you & ANY questions about access please ask! xXx)
