Question certificate in health science?

Hello everyone
I am thinking of applying for a midwifery course in about 2 years.
I did HND law,but never finished it,had a baby and now i'm thinking of studying with Open University to gain more qualifications,in hope of getting a place!

This is the course i was looking at doing ..
Can anyone tell me if this is in the right direction? and if not, what would you recommend?

http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/bin/p12.dll?Q01C78

Thanks in advance x

Hi hunbun, the best thing you can do is phone and ask your chosen unis if they accept this qualification.

I know a lot of ladies on here have done an access to midwifery with the DLC and I think a few have done an OU course but I'm not sure which one. All universities seem to vary in their requirements though so I would defo ring or email the ones you intend to apply to.

hi hunbun,
I already had a degree (Law), but did the Open University course K100 - which was one that was mentioned on the academic qualifications for the uni's I applied to.
The K100 course (I think it will be called something else this time) is Understanding Health and Social Care, it's worth 60 points, and I got a distinction in it! yeh! I did enjoy the course, although doing it Open Uni you have to be disiplined in studying, but just go for it and reach for your dreams.
