I went in for my night shift last night, to be told I would be caring for a woman who was 37 weeks and (hopefully) having a planned vaginal breech delivery.
As you can imagine, I got rather excited!
The woman had an epidural in situ and progressed quite well. At around 10:30...

I had my access course interview today and have been accepted so I am officially starting this september a bit worried about leaving my little munchkin in the creche but I have to get used to that and he will benefit from having contact with babies his age (will be 10 months come september)....

Had a good shift on delivery following my terrible one the other day. Didn't go in on Wednesday, as I couldn't face working with that woman again, so i took it as study leave.

Just had to share my amazing experience. Got my first catch yesterday. Been with the woman since the start of my shift and supported her through all her anxieties and fears. They were such a lovely couple and I really felt like I'd built up a relationship with them both. She coped amazingly...
