I have never written one of these before, but I love to write as its soooo theraputic. I have not long joined this forum and I love it! So refreshing to read honest, friendly, non bitchy posts!!

Well, been a little while since I last updated my blog....hmm not really much to say so apologies if this is boring reading but it really does help to "write" things down so I can read back and reflect!!

Starting new voluntary post

Hi there,

This isn't really related to midwifery (but then a lot of the blogs aren't, so I guess it's ok?) but just wanted to share it with someone!

I love doing voluntary work (sooooooo much better than paid work!) and currently work with children at an after-school...

Learning curve

I took over the care of a lovely lady this morning with my midwife when I went on shift.

She was a primip, and already fully dilated and pushing really well. As the morning progressed I could tell that she wasn't making the progress expected for the effort she was making.
