“There is no excuse for letting mums die as they give birth“ - Sarah Brown, Global Patron, White Ribbon Alliance

Fulfillment is a number less than 41, but more than 39!

It's been a heavy week as I've done 21 hours extra caseholding for a good friend who had an emergency section on Tuesday. She now has happy, healthy twins who she is breastfeeding amazingly well. I was so proud and honoured to receive both of the babes in theatre.
Then, the icing on the cake...
Yesterday, at 19:15 (15 minutes before the end of my last long day shift on Labour Suite before I go on Mat leave) I delivered by 40th baby!
I had given up hope, but at 19:00 I was called to a room to help out with a birth complicated by fresh Meconium. Fortunately all was well, and I took great delight in congratulating them and letting them know just how important their gorgeous baby was to me too!
PS I have some gorgeous photos of the twins, but the upload keeps failing - if I work out how to befriend people on Facebook, I'm hoping I can find a way!
