Back from holidays
Well, had a fabulous time in Reading, and then a lovely relaxing 10 days in Jersey. It feels strange to be back particularly as our lives changed completely whilst we were away - we found out we are expecting!
I'm feeling a little over-awed, and a little under-prepared... it really wasn't supposed to happen so fast! Plus I've got the added niggle of having got well and truly plastered for most of the time when I was at Reading, and for the start of the Jersey holiday.
I feel so irresponsible, but genuinely got my sums wrong... what an idiot!
LMP was 27/07/08 so I was 4 weeks at Reading. Times like these being a student midwife doesn't help. Plus, I really don't feel pregnant. I feel absolutely totally and utterly normal, just with a huge pair of paps! I am completely expecting to miscarry - is everyone like that?
We told people in Jersey, which I'm really not happy about because I don't feel right, and now have the added hassle of keeping the secret at home, and with my side of the family. That's why I needed to splurge... in my safe secret place!

Welcome back Bunny and what exciting news! I got very drunk a week before I found out I was expecting too, it's just one of those things, so try not to worry.

Awww congratulations Bunny. I too got drunk in New York before I found out I was pregnant with my eldest. The amount of people I have spoken to who have done the same!!!! I must admit I always had a big fear of miscarriage in both pregnancies so I think that's probably a normal fear. Hopefully once you have your 1st scan and start getting a bump you'll start to feel a bit more confident about things.
Glad you had a good holiday

I too got very drunk just before finding out I was pregnant, it really is very common so don't worry (or try not to at least)!Posted 08-Sep-2008 at 10:09 by RainbowGoddess

Thank you ladies - I'll do my best not to worry, but this was a week long binge rather than just a heavy night out... I've got to just try and be optimistic though *crosses fingers*Posted 08-Sep-2008 at 10:54 by Bunny

Congratulations Bunny. If you have not started already start taking folic acid. That wil help you and your baby. Look forward to hearing about your progress xxPosted 09-Sep-2008 at 17:57 by Little Miss Midwife

Thank you! I was on the folic acid before I came off the coil
This week hasn't been so good. Bleeding yesterday so I'm going for an early scan tomorrow. Don't feel so bad today, but trying to keep (gently) busy to keep my mind off it.Posted 10-Sep-2008 at 06:10 by Bunny
