I have never written a blog before so do bear with me ??? I am using this as a means to rid myself of silly / funny / sad / exciting thoughts that i have during my days ....so are you gonna join my personal rollercoaster ???? .....better put your seat belt on !!!!

10 days !!!!

yeah i know this is gonna sound stupid but ....my hubby has decided to take our daughter to see his parents...ok i know nothing wrong with that ??? but here goes....they live in london...we live in stoke....roughly 200 miles ( ish LOL ) they have only been up here once since she was born..she has been down ther 3 times ?? i think ?? he wants to take her for 10 days !!!! my baby for 10 days !!!! she is 2 1/2 but i am already missing her and she hasnt even gone yet !!!
she doesnt know them !! last time when he took her down he couldnt even go to the loo without her so whats it gonna be like ???
I can just picture my poor baby being upset !!!
i keep saying to myself it will be fine but OMG !!!
and hes already booked the tickets so its defo happening !!!
I did mention that i thought 10 days was a bit long but he said oh she'll be fine ????
I am trying to think of all of the good points...i can get some study done...spend time with the older children....get stuff around the house done....get my PS done and UCAS form submitted .....sit around and watch backyardigans to myself ???

i will just be a permanent fixture here.... they are going on the 17th till the 27 th

so if you see me lurking around its cause i have time on my hands ...!!!!!!

It doesnt sound stupid. If my OH takes the children to see his folks 1/2 hr away for the day I worry... That's natural as you're a caring mum.

It could be a really fun time for your daughter though with daddy and grandparents all to herself. At 2 1/2 they're right little characters so she'll probably get spoiled rotten. Try and focus on the positive (easier said than done I know!) and dont let her see you worry about it.

Hope it all goes well and at least you'll have an excuse for 'living' on here...

That does seem quite a long time, so she may well be very clingy with her dad, but as June says I am sure she will be spoilt rotten and love it.
So long as you are happy that she will be looked after then you should use the opportunity for some 'me time' - as well as studying of course!
Your daughter will probably miss you too, so it may be worth finding out if they are able to come back early on those tickets, should they need to.

Hiya girls... thanks for the comments....it now appears he is coming back two day later !!! As he can get a lift !!!
But yes you are right i will enjoy the 'me' time. And i am sure she will be spoilt rotten !!!

I will also have the cleanest house in stoke !! LOL

oh love, I know how you feel, when my boy was just two he went to see his dad bloomin miles away (we had to meet half way, won't say where, but over 300 miles) for a week, I remember not being to bothered driving him there, then having to leave him with pretty much strangers was really upsetting and I missed him so much too. It was a tough week, but hang with us and it'll go quicker!

oh god MRW, I know how you must feel, my Dh took our boys for just 2 nights to his parents and I didn't like it one bit. Remember she is only a phonecall away, i hope you get through it OK, it'll probably be far worse for you than it will be for her. xx
