Gutted!!!

Posted 11-May-2008 at 15:12 by midwifemissy
I can't get to my placement hospital on a Sunday until 30 mins after the start of the shift, as the bus I need to catch up there doesn't start early enough. Everyone is fine for me to arrive late and it isn't a problem

When I arrived this morning, I found out that my mentor had just delivered a baby about 10 mins earlier. I was absolutely gutted to say the least.

What makes it even more annoying is the fact that I have a half hour wait from getting off one bus, to getting on the next. If it wasn't for that I would have made it in plenty of time grrrr.

oh how annoying!! i have the same problem, especially on the early shift, but i try and get round it by getting lifts in which my wonderful housemates are quite happy to do! if i cant i usually get a cab, but it's expensive though. Is there anyone you can lift share with, even occasionally, so you dont have to get the bus all the time?
so sorry you missed your delivery, but there will be plenty more!!!

xxxxxxx
