Sorry to Whine and Winge but I'm Really Bored!!
Posted 15-Aug-2008 at 16:47 by Felicity
I'm really bored. I'm in the house all by myself from when I wake up until around 6pm because my Mum's in Spain, my brother's on W.E for college and my sister works 7 days a week. I don't know many people in the city and I don't want to be always bothering those people that I do know! I'm not working at the moment (job hunting), my voluntary work is on hold until term starts again and my home study courses are boring the hell out of me. I get caught in a vicious circle of watching the Olympics every day along with '60 Minute Makeover', 'Will & Grace', two episodes of 'Desperate Housewives' and bits of 'This Morning'. Today I've cleaned the whole house but can't be asked to go out shopping (I'll only buy too much chocolate, anyway!!) and just want some conversation with someone!! AGHHHHHHHHH!!!
I've been trying to make creative things (cushion covers at the moment) or write something interesting. I can't do much reading at the moment because I'm waiting for my glasses/lens to be sent to me with the new prescription, so I get a headache when I read and, even worse, nothing goes in! Making it all a waste of time.
On the bright side, I've heard from a staff member at a local hospital today about volunteering on the childrens ward (no opportunities on the maternity wards) so that'll be nice. I'd love to think I could make a child's experience of being in hospital just a little better because it must be so scary for them.

Aw Kirby, come round to mine lovelie!! I have lots of company for you as well as two very boisterous boys to keep entertained and a very messy house and a ton of ironing!! Enjoy the peace and I hope you get to go on the children's ward.Posted 15-Aug-2008 at 18:32 by coffeebean

Thanks coffeebean! Like I said, I'm sorry to whine about something which most people probably see as totally ridiculous when they've got mortgage, childcare and other worries. But I'm a naturally very chatty person and not content with my own company, so I end up feeling very lonely which I hate. In September I'm moving in with my eldest sister and her little girl so at least then I'll have a child to look after and chat nonsense to! :-)Posted 16-Aug-2008 at 10:29 by Felicity
