life stinks

just when you think you have it all worked out something goes wrong.
I cant decide weather to start college this year or wait till next yr why wait? well my youngest daughter starts school next yr.But i don't want to wait but as being a mum everyone who does not understand how badly i want this think i may b better waiting until all of my kids are at school.
Then at work my boss is being imature my charge nurse said i should find a new job only because my other daughter was very ill and i was asking for parents leave, and the so and so would not give it to me. She asked what i had in place when my children were ill, well my mum is dead my hubby is self employed and ob wen they sick she could not go to nursery.So she basically said i should get another job.Would not give me the leave and i had to swap my shifts and wen i did all i got from her was cheek. I was on a shift with the same charge nurse and she ignored me said nothing, how pathetic really putting me in a awkward place. I just want to leave. And and to top it all off i just been to docs and he said that i am 4 stone over weight and said that i have to loose it , it's easy he said eat less and excercise more, if it was that easy i would not be fat....

 |  Ah hon. You're having a rough time of it too... Personally, I think the way you've been treated by work is disgusting! Is there a union rep you can speak to? I wldn't stand for it, obviously your children come first and I thought most places were 'family friendly' nowadays! Hang on in there and do what you want, not what everyone else wants! If you want to go to college this year then go for it, if not, wait a while - the course isn't going anywhere so do it on YOUR terms. Love and hugs. xxx |

| |  Oh sweetheart, I really feel for you. that's disgusting the way you were treated when you were only asking for what you're entitled to, and if she begrudges giving it then maybe SHE should be the one looking for another job as it sounds like she can't handle the hassle of arranging cover, which is part of her job. Next time, just ring in and say you're taking emergency parental leave, they can't sack you for that. If you want to go to college this year, go for it! If it suits you better to wait, wait. |
