first voluntary day!!!

I had my first day as a volunteer at our local maternity unit today and it was FAB!!!! I loved it. I am on the ward that deals with babies who don't need special care but do need a little extra and I got to check a NGT a have a cuddle with a 36 week baby boy, who was gorgeous!! Any one considering...

Got some Voluntary work at St Michaels!!

Had my enhanced CRB back and a phone call from St Michaels in Bristol, and I start my voluntary post from next week with any luck!! Woop. I will be doing filing and a bit of work with the midwives, watching the births (won't be hands on as not insured) and making the mums tea etc. Really excited now...
