I had my first day as a volunteer at our local maternity unit today and it was FAB!!!! I loved it. I am on the ward that deals with babies who don't need special care but do need a little extra and I got to check a NGT a have a cuddle with a 36 week baby boy, who was gorgeous!! Any one considering this as a vocation, DO IT!!!!
