MidwiferyWorld.NET - Plodding along...
Over the last few days I have been doing a lot of the technical work on midwiferyworld.net
To date, we have the color scheme sorted out and most of the forums and permissions set up and all the back end stuff done that will allow the site to run.
The logo is still being considered at the moment and anyone with an idea is free to give me a shout.
Apart from the blogs, and maybe some attention to finer details the site is pretty much operational - any midwives reading this can preregister by visiting http://www.midwiferyworld.net :: Preregistration will mean you are the first to be informed of any news including a launch date.
MWNET will pretty much share the design of SMNET but with some changes, and a different color scheme - this will allow for an extremely efficient and painless transition for students when they qualify and want to switch websites.
MWNET should have within a few months of launch an article section and anyone with articles we can publish or
would like to write for us should give TallPoppy a nod.
We aim to provide an 'ask the RM' section where students can go to communicate directly with registered midwives..... meanwhile, life goes on as normal on StudentMidwife.NET
I am sure the sites will complement each other very well and cant wait to see MWNET up and firing on all cylinders
If anyone would like to offer any of their time for tasks and expediate the launch of MWNET then just shoot me or TallPoppy a private message.
I'll come back here soon and give you another update but for now I'l just get right back on it
Have fun
