huuuuuuuuuge congratulations to everyone with offers, im sooo excited for u!! but.. also slightly jealous! LOL. is that allowed?
i was completely broken when i got my unsuccessful and even though ive since discovered im pregnant and so i wouldnt have been able to do 2010 anyway, i still find myself thinking that this is something that is never going to happen for me.. i know, i know, i need to think positive and keep trying and i will get there.. etc. etc. it just feels like its out of reach and it always will be.
does that sound daft?
congratulations again to everyone with offers, u all deserve them and im so chuffed for u

Aww hun, it will happen! Please dont get down on yourself!Im a big believer in fate and that what's ment to be is ment to. This year wasnt for you as you have this wonderful gift of a new baby on the way, next year could be your year and thats the way you need to keep thinking. Northumbria didnt consider me either hun, but worcs offered me a place the same day..... and Teesides maths test was SOOOOOOOO hard!
Some of our paths are just longer than others.
big loves to you xxxPosted 05-Feb-2010 at 19:36 by Chatty mummy

awww honny I was a bit sad as i was reading this post, i believe you'll get there, and some day when you'll remember the time when you were unsuccessful, you will remember with smile, but now it's not your time yet (same as mine) when your time comes you'll get your offer. Everything has its own time and there is particular time for every activities, do you believe it ? Big hug we all get there some dayPosted 06-Feb-2010 at 00:48 by Nataly

Aww, don't feel bad about it (though admittedly I'm very jealous too!) - our time will come, and we've both got babies to grow in the meantime! Did you get any feedback from your choices? If so, there's plenty of time to work on that. Like you said, you couldn't have gone this year anyway, so look on 2009's application as good practice, and stay positive, you'll get in next time! xxPosted 06-Feb-2010 at 22:24 by Mrs F

Awww hun, it's perfectly natural to feel that way. But remember you have plenty of time to become a midwife, it's just that now is not the right time for you. Your babies need you at the moment, it's a sacrifice us mums have to make.
I was at college doing Health and Social care ready to do Midwifery afterwards when I fell pregnant with my eldest son and had to abandon all of my plans. For a very long time I thought I had lost my chance and it would never happen for me.
Now that little baby I put all of my plans on hold for is 14, and it is finally happening for me!! It has taken a long time, has been a very interesting journey, I have been there for my babies but now I am ready to pick up where I left off!!
I'm sure it won't be anything like 14 years before you are ready to do this, so enjoy being a mummy for as long as you can! They grow so fast and we can't ever get that time back
Midwifery however, isn't going anywhere and will wait for you as long as you need it to
Good Luck hunny, and cherish your beautiful family!!
