Access course
Posted 20-May-2008 at 20:55 by upsy daisy
Hola!
Well, after a lot of umming and ahhing and writing out 6 year plans and all that I've been having a good old think and I can't see any good reason (childcare being the exception) why I shouldn't try to get on the access course this Sept. Originally I decided that I would go for it Sept 09 as I would have been in my job for longer and Lewis would be starting school at the same time....BUT, seeing as I'll only go to college in term time, he'd be sorted hopefully with his govt granted childcare place (if I get him in on the day I go to college), I just have Cameron to worry about...I'll either have to speak to Lewis' nursery to see if they'd have a place or speak to my Mum very nicely to see if there is anything she can do to help...she loves having the boys but does work full time at the moment - she'll be 60 in Aug but I suspect she'll probably stay on at work until Dad retires in 5 years time....
I'm nervous, scared, excited....is this really it? Is this finally the start?!

Have you considered the evening Access Course?
I'm just nearing the end of my year long course which was classed as full-time even though it was just two evenings a week.
Perhaps if you offer to cook your mum's tea twice a week she might be able to help?
Good luck in whatever you do.......
