I have recently added this book to my collection after a lecture on CTG's and realising that I still had gaps in my knowledge. This book is excellent - it's easy to read and follow and gives lots of examples of CTG's - good, bad and otherwise that demonstrate all the variables that can be found on CTG's - different examples of decelerations (early, late, variable), bradys and tachycardia. There are also lots of examples that you can work through to judge whether the CTG is reassurring or not. There is also a great section on litagation - which is an eye opener but something that every student midwife (and midwife!) should be aware of.
