Which is best?

Ive got Mayes is it worth having both

Have you just been offered a place? If so and you want a mentor please post in post this forum (also post here if you would like a mentee)

They both contain pretty much the same information, but in a slightly different format. If you already have Mayes I would save your money for something different (like the skills book or the midwifes formulary or dictionary, or an A&P book).

If you are a new student and want to buy one, I'd recommend going into a large bookshop and having a look through both to see which you prefer. Then order online cos it's usually cheaper!

I have Mayes, I like it, it suits me better.

I bought it on Amazon and the price was very competitive.

I have now been to all book shops in Fife and Dundee and can't find one midwifery textbook. I am going to try online to get one x

Try the book shop here Caz, the link is at the top of the page, loads of midwifery books there, good prices too. :D

Hi all

After looking at both books i can say that i probably prefer Myles. In my opinion it is easier to read. Good to have both though so i can compare things. I am not buying anything else now.........................for the time being :phew::phew:

I have Myles, I find it easier to read than Mayes!

This is actually one I've not bought yet! Still undecided. May go by whichever has the most recent publication
