Default RCM Student Midwife Conference

The domains in year 2 and 3 call for evidence of attending conferences/study days etc..... each year I attend the RCM student midwives conference, have a great time, learn loads and then happily slip the certificate of attendance and a copy of the agenda in my CAP, along with a lil reflection..... smashing.... JOB DONE! Anyone wishing to attend this year...... the agenda looks fab as usual...

During this action-packed day, participants will have the opportunity to:
  • Explore the opportunities that NHS policies offer midwifery services from a student perspective
  • Understand changing consumer expectations
  • Learn about strategies which can be used by midwives to promote midwifery and normal birth
  • Network with students from throughout the UK
  • Talk to exhibitors about new products and services
  • Debate the impact of skill mix on midwives and the care of women
  • Have your say about life as a student and how you view your future career.

Calling all midwifery students to join us for the 17th RCM annual conference for student midwives!

Have a look at this....

17th RCM annual conference for student midwives

See ya there

OKay for us on the other side of the world, what is your CAP document? I am assuming it is like our practice portfolio, where you keep a reflecive journal, practice standards, scope of practice etc?

I know what it is like putting on weight during study. Every one goes to the cafe for cuppa and muffin and you end up buying one too. Any one got any could weightloss tips as I will explode soon. 87kg and rising

Yup, sounds about the same tbh honest, ours has a list of skills to get signed off and a set of domains covering things like culture, aswell as placement interviews and reflections. It has been termed the C(r)AP document in the years before us, just cos its such a hassle to get sorted usually.... I like mine tho, when its all done and in, its a good read and makes me feel like ive actually achieved something...
