my advice would just be to get stuck in- i was so inhibited to begin with but the more you do, the more you experience, and that's what it's all about.

and don't be afraid to ask questions, not just of your mentor, but anyone, if you can't find something or do something just ask anyone, and the majority of them will be happy to help!!

and in my experience, a smile goes a long way, even when you're having a bad day- they're contagious!

Great advice and congrats on your 8 babies!

Thanks Josie,

It was amazing, and I am still buzzing from it lol.

I don't feel I did anything special, I just reassured her the way I would want someone to reassure me, I am just pleased I was able to help and make her feel able to listen to her 'inner self'

I feel truly privilaged to have been able to share such a humbling experience with such a lovely couple.

Oh, and typing after a glass and a hlaf of wine isn't easy lol.

Thanks for your great advice, and congratulations on your 8th delivery. I am so pleased to hear they don't become any less special.

I have had no catches since my first one, but I know they will come when the time is right, so am not worried too much about that.

I had the privilage to witness an emergency caesarean section yesterday of twins, my first twin delivery, and it was very interesting to watch.

They were monochorionic twins, 30 weeks gestation, and there was a problem with the placenta, it wasn't twin to twin transfusion, it was something to do with the transfer from the placenta to the babies, (wish I could remember the name of it grrr)

Both babies are doing well and cried as soon as they were delivered, and Mum was fine.

I also got the chance to watch the paediatricians checking the babies, and making sure they got any help they needed which was fascinating.
