Default First Catch!!!

I had my first catch yesterday, and it was nothing short of perfect!!!
I was working with a lovely mentor from a different team, we went into the room which was designed for normality ( bed not in centre, balls, beanbag, floor mat etc ). Mrs X was 8cm on last VE using only Entonox when we took over her care, baby was born only an hour later:

Mum on all fours on the floor mat leaning on beanbag, it was amazing !!!! Totally hands off until the head was out, baby cried and opened his eyes before his chin was out ANDDD intact perineum too... it was a lovely day

Mum got up and had shower and she looked fab, 6hr discharge, everyone happy !!!!

I coulndn't believe my first catch was the lady not a bed and on her back, some of the 3rd years were telling me they have never delivered a baby while the mum was on all fours, so I was over the moon

Congratulations! Now quickly write a reflection!! You'll love looking back on it in years to come. I have delievered a few women on all fours and I remember thinking everythings upside down lol, it'll be the other way round for you now!

Sounds like a perfect first catch..... well done

thats sounds so lovely, well done on your first.
not that many reasons why women cant always deliver in that position, and as you develop confidence you can empower women and show them how good it is for them that way around. well done, enjoy your next 39!!

TallPoppy's right, write up a detailed reflection about what happened, but also about how you felt during and after the event. What a beautiful first catch, (mine was a Shoulder Dystocia! followed by a tight cord round the neck and then 3rd was a little girl who decided not to breath for the longest 7 mins of my life!), I hope you get many more like that. You will look back on this reflection for years to come.

Whenever you get a rough day, look back at that reflection and you will feel heaps better.

Congratulations!
