Sounds really promising doesn't it? They said the nightlife is great and very cosmopolitan apparantly aswell, I don't know as I never venture too far since having my little un, nor since the squeeze on the finances returning to education. However a little birdy told me that if you leave the country post qualifying and have outstanding student loans and if you don't return within 5+ years you dont have to pay it back, haha I'm clinging hold of the hope that its the truth as I go and apply for this years lol x

I really dont know what i want to do! My parents have offered me some money to help if i did want to go abroad but, i just dont know what i want to do. Or should i say i want to do EVERYTHING .

I have thought of
Africa - just for the experence i would never get again
Dublin - because my other half wants to move back there some day,
A birthing centre as i have never been to one,
Neo natal unit as i love it,
I also wanted to spend more time with the psych team

How do people choose, do you go for something you love doing, something that will be good for your CV or just for the experence?

Unhappy Re: Electives

I'm so jealous of all you guys! My uni is rubbish... We don't get the option of electives cos 'it's too much work to organise'.... Those lazy bones. How long do you all get to go away for? Sounds AMAZING! If I had the opportunity, I would like to go somewhere like Africa, but then again only if a fellow student came with me. I bet it would be a bit scary on your own. What a wimp, hey! lol.

I got told i couldn't go to Dublin, because of that very reason Duel re active management! How rude! I was gonna go to the Rotunda. Instead i spent 5 weeks with Independent Midwives in Yorkshire, which was fabbo.xx

Haha When I told RG that I was planning on Dublin she was really excited! She was the one that told me to look out for the active management stuff, and she was saying that I need to make sure I take lots of notes so I can tell her all about it when I get back! How odd!

MidwifeMcCan, we get to go on elective for 4 weeks! x
