I still have to get one more witness before I can have hands on, this is due to the fact that the last one I witnessed ended up a Shoulder Dystocia, so wasn't classed as being a normal delivery.

Helped look after a lady all shift today who was in labour, but she still hadn't delivered when I went off shift, she was progressing but it was slow progress.

Oh well, I have two days off now, so will have to see what Friday brings now.

Tiffany...you have to witness five normal deliveries before you can be hands on, doesn't sound a lot, but it's not as easy as it sounds as I am finding out.

Is that normal for most trusts having to witness a certain number before you can then get hands on?

I dont think we have to in bradford.
