Default beautiful birth

Today, i have had the best experience of my training so far.

A lovely slow, quiet birth (and I can call it that!) very little intervention (no ARM, only Entonox, no instrumental, directed pushing, nothing) beautifully slow advancing head, very quiet crowning just , myself and the amazing woman working together. Wow.

Truly 'with woman', the midwife I was with was brilliant and quietly encouraging to me, all was fabulous.

This job, is the best, I am on cloud nine.

Two great births today, brilliant. I am grinning like the Joker!!!

I can't quite believe it, slow, not time limits, no clock watching at all, no partogram, nothing.

Women really rock, someone peel me off the ceiling!!

That sounds just beautiful. Lets hope you and all the rest of us witness many more births like that.

I think after an experience llike that, not only does the woman become truly empowered, but the midwife also feels empowered too and that can only be a fantastic thing for everyone involved

I go on labour ward tonight and I'm all excited but a tad worried about interventions!!!
