Well done Tiff! I always felt like I was pulling heads off too and still do on occasion... depends who I'm working with. Have worked with some who are completely hands off and let the baby just 'plop' out, for want of a better word, and then I've worked with others who are yanking away, or yelling at me to do 'downward traction' etc etc.... I hate doing it. Did baby go straight for skin to skin? I used to (and still on occasion, scarily) just stare in amazement when the baby was born into my hands and just forget that cord needed clamping, baby needs drying or passing to mum.... it's like, 'my work here is done, I thank you'! lol.... Scarily close to qualifying now, must remember that labour and birth are not over when baby is born.... or when the fat lady sings. lol
