Default Placenta benefits...

".........A placenta, dried, powdered, and encapsulated has
the ability to (for the mum)....

 Balance your system
 Replenish your depleted iron levels
 Give you an added energy boost
 Help in balancing your fluctuating hormones
 Lessen bleeding postpartum
 Increase your milk production
 Decrease your risk of postpartum depression
 Hasten the return of your uterus to it’s
pre-pregnancy state
 Your placenta, if correctly stored, can also be
of great help during your menopausal years as well....."

If only I'd known about all that 25 years ago lol.

Seems like it has so many benefits, shame most people are totally unaware of them.

we had a great restaurant conversation over dinner once - much to the amusement of neighbouring diners.... trying to approximate the sound a cold placenta makes as you pull it out of the bowl by the cord. Shhlurrrrrp.

*sigh* I remember those days..... your slurrrrrrrrrppppppp was very accurate, as I found out on my first day in placement, ever. I can still remember coming home and being convinced I was smelling like metal, those iron'y placentas. Devils they are. 'Lingering Placenta' l'eau du parfum....

...not quite as classy as the conversation at one of my cohort's hen night - in a restaurant, surrounded by aunties, with actions might I add, topic: How To Reach A Posterior Cervix.

ha ha
my worst was the last day of first year, 6 student midwives having just finished placement, talking and sharing stories.
LOUDLY
in a restaurant
it was only when the table next to us got up to leave that we realised that there was a pregnant woman, looking decidedly white!
