By the end of the workshop participants will have had the opportunity to:

• Learn how to enable new mothers to latch their babies on (using hands off methods)
• Review common breastfeeding problems, their causes and solutions in the light of current research
• Better enable mothers to succeed in expressing milk
• Evaluate current texts on positioning and attachment with particular attention to the mechanisms of milk transfer
