This may sound a bit odd...but just wanted to share because it's made me happy!

My OH is great and I love him to bits, but sometimes I worry that he's totally disinterested in the whole midwifery thing - he didn't really 'get' what a big deal the interviews were, he was happy when I got in but hardly bowled me off my feet in the rush to congratulate me...and I've been feeling a bit rubbish about it really, as if he isn't really that interested in something that's so important to me. Not saying he should suddenly develop the same passion for it that I have but some sign of interest would be nice...

So anyway, pootling along in the car today and somehow (not sure how!) we started talking about breastfeeding, and I managed to have an entire half-hour debate with him about it! Admittedly he wasn't agreeing with me and took the pro-formula stance (he knew nothing about either side but loves a good debate) but he showed interest and got me thinking more about my arguments and opinions. Which made me strangely proud of him!!

Sorry, I know there wasn't much point to this thread, but just wanted to share that I'm quite chuffed with him tonight! :) xxx

Well the love it hate it game reminded me of my addiction to buying buggies...it is really bad :( but I love it!

So just wondering who else is a self confessed addict and what prams are your favourite I hated my mamas and papas pliko prammette with polkadots until I got rid and began to think how cute it was as it seems to be everywhere lol :)

I love the patterns on the o baby vintage rose stroller but to be honest the frame looks weak and flimsy which puts me off.

So ladies what prams have been your favs? I was looking when I was pg again and couldn't find any I was in love with, I was eyeing up the orange/pink quinny buzz (a real love it or hate it) but this was limited edition and stopped before I found out the sex of baby. Would love a pink one for my girl so any advise on personal favs would love to hear :)

i was busy tidying the house after 5 long week of the kids at home, my house was a little upside down (how much housework can be done with two kids in the house). I am soo pleased everything is back the way i like it but i realised there is certian things i dislike doing.

Making the double bed alone drive me mad, i always end up with the bottom corners in and the tops one twisted. No idea how this happens LOL!!! I usually have oh's help just for easyness, but i just wanted to crack on and do it.

I also USE to dislike cleaning the kicthen floor as before we re-decorated we and tiles and getting the in between bits clean was a nightmare, i am loving our new lino as it's increadably easy to clean :D (so now i like cleaning the floor)

Just wondering what reaction you would have if your other half's mum kept telling you how great his ex girlfriend was, and how lovely, they were planning to move in together, he was so cut up when they split up and it took him so long to get ovet it etc, they only broke up because of her family interfering and it wasnt his choice. (they broke up about 5 years ago, we have been together over 3).
Im not really sure how i feel as am already not convinced she likes me that much, but now im sure she likes his ex more than me and kindof compares me to her. She really didnt need to tell me all that. Im a bit upset and angry, Then dreamt about it etc. Am i overreacting, it really got to me. X

And it feels really good!

Got back yesterday after 3 days of travelling, exhausted but so happy to be home.

My husband was meant to be away in Manchester as he was going to see Muse (I ended up coming home a week early so I didn't want him to miss it) but he had given away his ticket, hid the car and him and the kids jumped out on me when I got home! It was amazing and feels so good to be back!

Did the school run this morning, then walked to the shop to get todays paper (the ones in the Falklands were always a week behind!) and watched Jeremy Kyle. I should really be unpacking not on here!

Feels great to be on the same time as you all!

It's so strange but the smells of being home and the feel of the sunshine on my face are making me so happy! Oh and REAL milk (always UHT in the Falklands) and eating dominos pizza round the table with my kids and husband last night was amazing.

Just gotta get my OU assignment finished now and start begging round for volutary work and get my UCAS app off soon!

Ooh I have wanged on an awful lot here sorry! Just sooooooooo happy :D

Ok so wednesday is our 9th Wedding Anniversary, this is what ive found out but im still struggling to think of something original but not too expensive ....

Traditional 9th wedding anniversary gifts are made of Pottery and Willow.
A Modern Ninth wedding anniversary symbol is made of Leather.
The Flowers associated with the 9th anniversary are Poppies.
The Gemstone list shows Lapis Lazuli and Tiger Eye associated with this Wedding Anniversary.

The only thing ive thought of so far is a willoe tree ornament? Any ideas greatly appreciated x

just had a call from my ex who has had my ds (9yrs) and dd (4yrs) this week. my ds has cut my dd's hair!!!
he is playing up to his dad saying he is scared of coming home because i will shout (hmmm ya think?! >:0)
he hasn't ever really treated her very well and has recently pinned her down at a friends house and declared a 'free shot' at her to his friend (a boy 8yrs old) and also within mins of her telling me to say no to him going on the x-box has smacked her in the face quite hard with a perspex key ring.
i would normally describe him as a labrador puppy- super bouncy but really nice, but his sister is a whole new ball game. i treat them all the same (i have 4 living at home but only two with my ex)
i just dont know what to do as punishment to get it through to him how wrong it is!! any thoughts or opinions very welcome and i wont get offended i promise :P
thanks in advance cuz i'm at a loss!:help:

For some reason, for the last few weeks I've been really wheezy and had itchy eyes and nose first thing in the morning and in the evenings. I have mild asthma and occasional hayfever, but don't normally need my inhaler at all until it starts getting colder. I've been using it nearly every night recently :(

Is it still the right season for hayfever, or is this a sign that I really ought to clean and dust my house more often??? I suspect it could be the latter...

And does anyone know if you can take Piriton whilst breastfeeding? The chemist very helpfully sucked his teeth (you know, like plumbers do before they tell you how hideously expensive something's going to be!), and said I'd have to ask my GP. It's the weekend - she's not there!!! Grrr. >:0
