    Hi,

Have been looking at doing this prior to hopefully starting an Access course in Sept, do you think this would be classed as recent study? do you think it is useful to have i only have an GCSE grade E in mathematics.

    Many thanks x

the access course usually covers maths, but saying that, some uni's want extra maths on top of that so it definitely wouldn't hurt hun. i know a few of the girls on here have done the learn dirent numeracy on top of the access. so i say go for it! Xx

I have just completed the learn direct numeracy level 2 while still doing the access course. Im not sure if it would be classed as recent study or not. My conditional offer is the maths and not the access course, and i haven't studied since 2002. I would have thought they would prefer to see recent study which includes essay writting at level 3 though.

I would definately do the learn direct course- its free and helps you brush up on your maths skills.

dont forget babe, our stats with the DLC are classed as maths so you will have enough credits. I was worried about this also. But now I can breath!
