Children's Nursing Applying for children's nursing

I will be applying for children's nursing for sept 2013 is there anything I can do to strengthen my application such as courses etc. I have alot of experience already working with children and intend to do some volunteering again. I'm currently at uni doing a foundation course so already got the quals to get onto the course.

Any help would be great

I carn't really offer much advice from a child nursing perspective as am adult branch at burton campus, but we have two child nurses in my cohort so will ask them how there interview went?

Plus the uni were holding child branch interviews at our campus today

Hi, if you already have the quals and the experience then your on the right track! I did open uni short course called understanding children and a diploma in anatomy and physiology which my interviewers asked me about. The diploma has been a god send in the life sciences module as we have flown through it at lightening speed! I also did a short course on child protection online.
Research the role of childrens nurse, family centred care etc
