    Hello fellow students

In my first year of uni I failed my OSCE, but passed on the resit. I also failed 2 essays and passed the resubmission, however I should have put in for extenuating circumstances due to the sudden death of my step mother. Uni informed me to step off the course and return a year later in a different cohort to start my yr 2. This meant returning to Yr 2 in a different trust. My experience in yr 2 with another trust was a very stressful one, I felt bullied in all aspects of my placements whilst reporting everything to uni it still carried on. This has led to the failure of my PAD in semester 3. I was given extra time to hand in and eventually found a lovely mentor to complete with me. My mentor couldnt understand the issues surrounding my competence and the completion of my PAD on time!
At the begining of semester 3 I had to have a interview with my PTG leader at uni and the course co-ordinater where they informed me that because of the problems 'I' have had, If I failed any of my essays/exams from now on I would have to step of the course without resubmission and not be able to return. I have now learnt that I have failed my EoA essay and my BB2 exam due to stress and pressure of trying to get my PAD signed off in time for sem 4.

I have asked tutors at uni and have been advised that at the end of march my profile will go up against the examining board for a desicion.

I can't wait till then to find out my fate as a Midwife.. Midwifery is my passion and these last few days I have felt like Ive lost my soul mate and just dont know what to do with myself.

Can anyone suggest anything or even let me know If I can carry on with my passion at another uni/trust or if im able to repeat my 2nd yr?...

    I'll do anything...

    Thank you :'(

Didn't want to read and run.

So sorry for all that you've had to deal with, its what we all worry about before each placement - what is our mentor going to be like, will she be nice or is she going to make me hate every second of this placement?

I really feel for you. I don't have any advice, am brand spanking new to this but I wanted to wish you well. Hopefully they will take everything into consideration, and you'll get the outcome you want.

    Best of luck xxxxx

Sorry to hear that you are in this situation.

Most universities have an academic appeals process. I would advise you to seek advice from your general student support services who will be able to guide you through. There is a chance that they will let you continue after the board anyway without having to appeal any decision.

Horrible situation to be in and i really feel for you.
    Hope this helps. x
