I'm doing a law degree at the moment and I'm finding it so hard to cope with, there's so much work and the terms are really really short (8 weeks!). I'm not getting anything done properly, all my essays are late and I never understand anything, and I'm always tired. I just fight my way through the term and then go back and do all my work again during the holidays which are almost as long as the terms! I can't understand why we don't just have LONGER terms and therefore less stress!

ARGH just needed to vent, I can't vent to my friends here because they just tell me to stop doing the extracurricular stuff I do (choir, tutoring and volunteering) and I can't because I'd a) go mad, b) run out of money and c) not get into midwifery. But I'm finding it so hard! My supervisors know and they're supportive but there's not much they can do, other than give me essay extensions which actually make it worse because I end up writing an essay when I should be moving onto the next work...

Can't believe I'm only half way through this degree too, I'm not sure I can cope with finishing it.

May seem an obvious question but if it's not what you want to do why are you doing it?

Bunch of reasons really. One is that I do enjoy some bits of it (but mostly they're the bits I don't have time for - like actually debating issues and thinking about stuff...), another is that I love living here and I couldn't if I wasn't doing a degree. Also I have nowhere else to live and nothing else to do. I could get a job in a supermarket somewhere but it's not financially possible really, all my money would go towards renting somewhere to live. There are lots of good things about being at uni here but the actual work isn't one of them :(
