BCU applications 2012

Hi has anyone else applied to BCU and have you heard anythink?

My college has been told by BCU that they want applications in by today even though the close date is 15th Jan

I sent my application off on Friday so obviously haven't heard anything of yet! However, i went to their open day only last week and the admissions tutor said she hadn't looked at any apllications yet and that 'none had arrived at her desk'. They said they do a gathered field, and won't be doing interviews until after January. They will reject people who don't meet the entry requirements before that, but anyone who meets the requirements will be kept. She said they score your personal statement, reference etc and give the best applicants interviews. So i doubt very much that you needed to have your application in by the 14th

Absolute rubbish.. closing date is 15th of Jan and last year first interview date was 14th Feb! College may want your apps early so they have time to reference them DO NOT RUSH your application. Last year they called people for interview who scored 16+ on their ps but this isn't helpful because they never divulged how they scored them in the first place!!!! I have applied for the 2nd time I was unsuccessful at interview Good luck

I've applied! BCU aren't giving out ANY decisions until after the Jan 15th deadline!!

BCU applicants 2012

just adding this for people who are applying to BCU for 2012 entry as I haven't found a thread yet has anyway got rejections or interviews yet?

so glad you made this, i thought of doing the same thing, ive applied and got my acknowlegmen email 2 b ut i think bcu wont be doing anything till jan or feb time .. i hate waiting and this is just killing me :-( also applied to wolves and worcester and nothing back yet

I only applied on the 4th Novemeber as my college was very very slow writing my reference!!
I've applied to Manchester, Nottingham, BCU, DMU, and Cov and got acknowledgements from all but Cov and DMU.

When i was at the BCU open day they said they don't have their interviews till February and they do them all together so yeah yeah maybe people won't get interview dates till the January 15th deadline

Yes first cycle, had a few friends w2ho didnt get in last year so nervous. just got to hope for the best :-D
