    Hi,

I am not really sure how to use this site, if i am on the right section etc.. but hope someone can help me.

My wife has applied to university for midwifery and she is registered on this site under her name, and has seen that being registered with the BJM to get the journals is an advantage.

We cannot afford to buy/register with the BJM and so i was wondering if there was anyone who throws them in the bin once they've read them, if we could buy them off you at a discount price?

This saves us money and gives you a little back

If not, any advice on where i could get them or other books/publications etc i can try to surprise her with would be great.

    Thanks
    HK

Hi there! They have a deal on at the moment to get 15% off, so that a student rate will be £85 or thereabouts for a year. It's always worth checking the books section on here as well, and ebay also have some great deals which crop up now and then.

Keep an eye out for Midirs and The Practising Midwife as well (I particularly like Midirs- it's perfect for students!)

sometimes past issues are sold (often in bulk) on ebay

practising midwife and midwifery matters are a lot cheaper for students and if she's studying/not working at the moment they allow you to claim the student rate

Sometimes people post on here if they are selling on their BJM. When your wife gets into university she should be able to access them for free online via Athens.

Before I gained my place at uni I subscribed to the practising midwife as I found sometimes BJM was to hard to understand without a bit of medical knowledge.

And can I just say your wife is very lucky to have such a supportive husband and its lovely to see
