Hi all, i am doing my ageism essay on social exclusion and extended breastfeeding and I am sure there was recently a public report somewhere stating that no child under the age of 2 can be stopped from receiving milk in public places regardless of breastmilk/formula/ e.t.c.
Does anyone know where I could find the information on it? I'm finding it a bit difficult because i can only find something about scottish law.
Thanks so much, we've only been given a week to do this and i want to make it perfect :)
    xxx

I read (and i can't remember where sorry) that plans to introduce a specific law were scrapped because it was deemed that a woman already had the right to breastfeed a child of any age without being asked to move under the sex discrimination Act. (The right to breastfeed a child up to six months was also covered by another law and I can't remember the name of it so all in all I'm completely useless to you - sorry).

That's a fab link, WooWooSauce! In fact I think it probably deserves a thread of its own so that anyone looking for the info in future can find it easily  xx

It is a very good link!
I think what scotland has stipulated is better than the rest of the UK because what does this 'arm' women with who are breastfeeding an older baby or young child?
This is what my essay is about so brilliant to use for that! It has so much information on there :D
