Call the Midwife Episode 2 BBC 1 22/01/12 :: Come chat!

Ha ha I have the whole show in DVD got it years ago when I was really into bad girls lol!!! Funny when you watch back the first series my how the stories developed Xx

2nd series has been commissioned, brill. Im loving it think its fab.

Finally got to watch it- and t was brilliant. I. Am. Hooked!!! Even though Ive read the books, I am so pleased we're getting a second series.
And isnt Miranda Hart fabulous? Great comedienne, even more fantastic straight actress, IMO! Got Chummy down to a tee! In fact, all the characters are spot on- not like Harry Potter, a huge disappointment, casting wise (for the most part- NEVER Rupert Gring, ROWR!!!) for me!
Im pretty sure Mary's life did not go swimmingly after her baby was taken from her....but I dont want to put a spoiler in for anyone still to read!!
I havent enjoyed a series as much since Lark Rise to Candleford ended!!!

Loving it!, read this book before i became a student, and it really made me want to be a midwife even more, the characters are so spot on how i imagined it, wasnt sure what Miranda would be like but she plays it spot on! cant wait for next episode!

Watching Call the midwife has made me even more passionate about becoming a midwife....i love it!!!!

Finally caught up on the first 2 episodes, am off to uni or I'd get stuck into the 3rd! Its beautifully done, though Jenny is portrayed as far more... stuck up? than I imagined. Anyway, love Miranda's character, she plays her so well Good episode, must reread the book and see if it has more info about what happens to Mary after they took her baby...

Yeah, she went to prison for it

I'm finding Jenny a bit too stuck up as well, she's probably my least favourite character on the programme, which is a shame.

i couldn't put my finger on why i didn't like her... i think you've hit the nail on the head! i can empathise with her much more in the book, shame really.
